Global Business Mobility

Global Business Mobility immigration program allows businesses based overseas to bring in workers to their UK set-up. There are 5 different program routes.

The Global Business Mobility visa allows international businesses with a presence in the UK, to allow overseas workers to work in the UK.

Those routes are as follows:

  1. Senior or Specialist Worker.
  2. Graduate Trainee.
  3. UK Expansion Worker.
  4. Service Supplier
  5. Secondment Worker.

The work route visa allows you as an employer to bring in overseas workers – to work in the UK.  As an employer, you must hold a valid sponsor licence and then issue an appropriate Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) to support in their immigration application.

When a CoS is applied and assigned, you must ensure the appropriate SOC code and salary are being paid in the UK.

To summarise, you would need to ensure:

  1. Points for sponsorship are being met.
  2. The overseas work requirements.
  3. Appropriate job skills.
  4. Salary and financial requirements are being met. There are means the Home Office uses to work out the salary threshold.

Home Office will check that the employments are genuine and meet the genuine vacancy test. The thresholds are set out to prevent abuse in this immigration program.

Some of the requirements to be met are as follows:

  1. Knowledge of the role and the ability to work in the role as sponsored.
  2. Skills and work experience to meet the employment requirements.
  3. Business knowledge.
  4. Recruitment process.
